People Inc. version 4

 

Introduction

Over the previous year we have developed numerous enhancements to the standard data screens and functionality within the People Inc. system. Initially these were included with new copies of the system and we are now able to also make these available to our existing users as part of the version 4 upgrade.

Over the longer term and using a new enhanced version of the Feature Browser additional screens and features will periodically be made available for the system. A summary of some of the current additional functionality that is available can be found below.

New for 2019, the version 4 update for People Inc. includes a wealth of new features. All three of the principal People Inc. modules have enhanced functionality: the People Inc. HR module has new productivity features; People Inc. time now sports our latest user-interface, and enhancements to both these modules are available via the all-new Employee Self-Service module.

 

People Inc. HR

The People Inc. version 4 upgrade includes an updated suite of wizards and plugins, a new record navigation feature, new security features, and a range of optional productivity tools (including automated notifications and reminders).

The optional statistics and payroll integration features from version 3 are now provided as standard, there is range of new data-management options (including employee competency management), further integration with Microsoft Office and an updated report writer.

People Inc. time

People Inc. time version 4 has a fresh new user-interface providing an updated data screen and improved short-cut bar, an updated data-screen button bar and a new system button bar. This release also included new data management wizards and optional ESS integration features.

 

Employee Self-Service

The all-new ESS module provides a fresh new user interface, including a new design tool to further compatibility with mobile devices. There are also additional tools to provide a different screen-set for different types of user, and some new features that provide integration with People Inc. time.

Right to Work

This is an additional screen that provides a right to work checklist form within the system which has been modelled on the Employer’s right to work checklist available from https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/right-to-work-checklist.

Code Tables

Code Tables adds over a thousand command reference values to the system including standardised absence reasons and occupation classifications. By using shared standard terms users enrich the value of reporting by allowing them to compare data with national or even international trends.

Competencies

A framework of additional screens allowing for the recording and comparison of soft skills against roles. This enhances the existing features of the system to support an organisations larger competency management framework.

Reminders and Notifications

Enhancing the existing scheduling functionality in the system this add-on brings email notifications of events and reminders to the system.

Sickness Registration

Additional ESS screens allow employees and managers to manage sickness absence. Extensive configurable options allows system administrators to be kept informed of any new absence occurrences with all records visible through the standard absence management screens.

Absence Management Enhancements

This provides a collection of tweaks to the standard absence management functionality to simplify day to day bookings and calculations. Included within this pack of enhancements is automated allowance rounding a streamlines absence booking form and optional RIDOR recording fields.
