National Minimum Wage

In the UK the national minimum wage describes a basic hourly rate employees must receive. The rate varies depending on age and type of employment. Apprentices receive the lowest rate, then those aged under 18, ages 18-20, 21-22 and the highest rate is given to those aged 23 and over.
