Backup Policy

A backup policy describes which data needs to be backed up as well as how the process of taking and maintain backups will be managed.

Back up policies include details such as which data should be included, how frequently backups should be taken, how long backups should be kept for and where backups must be stored. A backup policy should consider all of an organisations data asset. This may include held by software as a service provider as well as data held on personal devices.
